One of our best Success Stories is SmartSound. For ten-plus years we engineered their marketing efforts toward growth and industry leadership. During that time the company turned nearly every fortune 1,000 company and major organization into customers, won ten awards, and became a leading voice in the industry. Our time with SmartSound ended when the company was sold to a group out of Germany with an in-house team.

During our time with SmartSound we drove sales through product launches and re-launches, email marketing, and content design and implementation. Email marketing was a major focus for the company. With a mailing list that grew to over 150,000 active users, we put a great deal of effort into the design and effectiveness of each campaign, and used Analytics to measure results. Campaigns went out on average once a week. During busy seasons campaigns were launched twice a week. Those campaigns included the necessary updates to the website and, quite often, included landing pages for specific promotions.
Content design and development were also a major emphasis over the years. We identified several types of content needed that would drive engagement and authority in the industry, including: how-to articles and videos, product posts, music artist profiles, profiles of videographers and independent filmmakers, major studio filmmakers using the product, album reviews, specialty pages that catered to a specific audience, company news, awards and press releases. Each campaign was planned and rolled out to be in alignment with the company goals and sales objectives. KPIs and Analytics measured each campaign so that we could adapt and refine for better future results.
We had to navigate a lot of changes in the industry over the years, and, too, massive changes in how people connected and interacted with SmartSound. Responsive web design, smart phones and tablets—they didn't exist when we began working with the company. We helped SmartSound navigate those changes and win ten industry awards, which put the company in a position of leadership in a very competitive market.
